Description We are in search of a Customer Service Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Oak Brook, Illinois. In this role, you will carry out the crucial functions of supporting account managers and customers, managing various customer accounts, and ensuring the smooth running of internal processes. This position is 100% on-site. Responsibilities: - Accurately handle the placement of customer orders and internal processes, including the management of logistics and provision of necessary documentation. - Manage material allocation and maintain an up-to-date inventory record. - Promptly respond to inquiries from customers and account managers in a detail oriented manner. - Confirm and acknowledge all sales orders by collaborating with the credit department and providing support in resolving credit issues. - Ensure accurate and timely invoicing responsibilities are carried out after material delivery. - Participate in department meetings with a focus on fostering relationships, sharing information, and implementing best practices. - Exhibit a high level of professionalism in all communication, paying special attention to style, tone, and manner. - Provide backup support to fellow customer service specialists as required. - Coordinate logistics and handle materials in line with supply chain logistics principles. - Use skills in order entry, inventory tracking, and sales quotes to improve efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.
