Position Description: Position Duties • Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work • Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives • Monitor ANDON occurrences. Skills Required: o Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends o Ability to work independently with limited supervision o Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput o Strong organizational and administrative skills o Ability to multi-task o Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills • Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate effective leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills Experience Required: o Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles o Microsoft Office knowledge Experience Preferred: o Body shop/stamping/paint/subassembly experience preferred o Safety and Quality experience preferred o Knowledge of constraint management principles o Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook) o Prior experience managing a unionized work force Education Required: High School Diploma/GED Additional Information : Must be able to work the crew patterns in the plant, which rotate every 3 months, as well as overtime as required. Crew patterns listed below are core production.
