Assisting the feedyards with the nutrition and health of growing cattle, PerforMix Nutrition Systems is an Agri Beef subsidiary that assists in developing balanced diets for our cattle-along with other beef and dairy cattle throughout the Northwest-with the guidance of first-class cattle nutritionists. PerforMix develops and produces the highest quality feed supplements on the market. The company is comprised of nutritionists, a logistics fleet, sales force, quality control managers, and administrative support. This team understands that proper nutrition is key to the production of exceptional Northwest beef. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative and scheduled maintenance to the production plant as well as customer equipment. This position should keep the plant well maintained to maintain safety of the plant and employees. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Facility Manager in our Rupert, Idaho location. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide preventative and scheduled maintenance to the production plant as required * Do welding and fabrication regularly * Perform mechanical failure troubleshooting and root cause analysis * Provide maintenance to all electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed * Maintain the boiler and steam systems * Communicate with mixers regarding the operation of the plant * Assist with unloading of trucks and railcars * Keep facility clean, neat, and free of clutter * Process relevant work orders in Maintenance Connection * Assist transportation maintenance as required * Assist in ordering, receiving parts and required supplies * Operate a forklift according to safety standards * Adhering to all safety, SFSF and company policies * Participate in required training * Maintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance on a regular basis * Perform other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: * Basic math skills, including ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers * Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn custom maintenance software EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * OR Minimum of one (1) year of related maintenance/mechanical experience and/or training PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Employee is regularly required to both stand and sit for extended periods of time * The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to use hands to handle, grasp or feel; will occasionally need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl * Employee will be required to access and work in confined spaces * The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds from floor to waist * Employee must be able to climb 30 ft ladders at a time and work above floor level at different levels of height * The employee will be exposed to the outdoor temperature Don't meet every single requirement?
