POSITION EXPECTATIONS Position Expectations The Production Supervisor manages production goal tracking, quality and quantity checks as well as managing the second shift retail production staff. The position acts as a key holder and fills in for the Production Manager when needed. Responsibilities * Ensures that quality customer service is presented and provided by team members in a timely and courteous manner to all customers, donors, and other team members. * Achieves daily, weekly, and monthly production goals for the store, reaching out to senior management when short on donations. * Ensures every rack/cart of processed goods receives a quality, quantity, and price (QQP) review. * Cross trains to be proficient in every production department to train new processors and fill in when necessary. * Cross trains to be proficient as a cashier to be prepared to substitute for a Customer Service Supervisor. * Closes the store at the end of the night if required. * Communicates needs with the store management team to ensure production and sales goals will be met. * Trains and coaches new and existing staff to follow the picture process maps (PPM's), production metrics and pricing guidelines, holding staff accountable for meeting processing goals. * Facilitates meetings with production team. * Ensures store and surrounding premises are kept clean and free of safety hazards, and safety procedures are understood and followed by all store team members. * Ensures Processors and workstations are stocked with approved supplies. * Locks down the building, closes the store and ensures the premises are safely vacated. * Ensures all Processors complete floor work each day for one hour. Complete floor work audits daily to ensure processes are followed to company standards. * Directs daily work with Merchandise Processors to meet preset production and sales goals for the store. * Assists in overall daily operations of the store and any other assignments or projects as determined by management. Education, Experience, and Requirements * High school/ GED completion preferred. * Minimum of 1 year retail experience. * Must be able to continuously perform repetitive work, at a set pace. * Team Members in this position may be required to travel at a moment's notice or be transferred to other Goodwill retail stores, based on business operational needs. * Must possess strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills. * Bilingual a plus. * Exhibits a high level of integrity and business ethics. * Exhibits"¯a high level of adaptability and flexibility. Environmental Factors * Duties will be conducted at the retail store, warehouse, or other assigned Goodwill locations where no cooling or heating will be available. Exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust, animal hair and sometimes humidity. Physical Factors * Able to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds. * Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling.
