This candidate will help AECOM deliver peer recognized design work while striving to incorporate our Environmental, Social, and Governance goals on each project. About Buildings + Places: Our Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building and system engineering, urbanism and planning (inclusive of landscape design), strategy + (workplace consulting), economics, technology solutions, asset advisory, and cost and program management. This diverse team assists our clients from strategy through project realization, creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create. Our Chicago studio focuses on the Commercial/Corporate, Science and Technology, Higher Education and Federal market sectors. We look to combine beauty, sustainability, resiliency, equity, and innovation in our projects and believe these values can be instilled in any project regardless of size or budget. Some of our recent projects include the new LA Clippers Arena, the Chicago Riverwalk , Autonomous Vehicle R&D Facilities, neighborhood resilience plans, cutting edge scientific research facilities, and global headquarters. Job Summary/Responsibilities: Project Manager will lead and execute interdisciplinary projects that will include a broad range of customer and project types with a focus on architectural projects. The role will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, and budget of projects across the project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Responsible for leading the delivery of project from proposal phase through Client handover. + Acts as primary point of contact for Clients and manages the relationship with all stakeholders + Manages all aspects of a project including project needs and requirements, schedule, fees, deliverables, contract terms and conditions, and the like. + Develop and monitor a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner. + Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk. + Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and provide senior management with project updates included status of project budget, deliverables, quality, and client relationship. + Perform risk management to minimize project risks. + Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. + Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis. + Coordination of internal and external project team members. + Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. + Ability to clearly and effectively communicate; written, verbal, and presentations. + Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects. + Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. + Will lead project pursuits, including identification of new business opportunities, generation of Scope of Work, project team, fee production, and review of terms and conditions. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: + Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Driver's license Preferred Qualifications: + 10+ years of relevant experience + PMP Certification + Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite; word, excel, powerpoint + Experience managing complex, ground-up projects + Architectural Licensure or Professional Engineer + Strong understanding of Microsoft Project and Power BI + Must be detail oriented, thorough, well-organized and be able to effectively manage time + Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy + Understanding of differing contract types + Understanding in project management best practices such as earned value, change management, schedule management. + Ability to work in a high-paced environment with ability to prioritize tasks + Outstanding oral communication, written and presentation skills + Strong organizational skills - ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously + Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively + Experience developing business with existing and new clients + Experience with alternative delivery methods (Design Build, CMaR, etc) Additional Information + Sponsorship is not available for this role Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
