Overview Chick-fil-A Supply is hiring a Transportation Network Planning Analyst to support our growing network. This person will have a leading role in the design and implementation of Chick-fil-A's North American store delivery network. Using the Blue Yonder Transportation Management System suite of tools, this role will establish a dynamic route optimization model that, in the years ahead, can drive insight across our network, identify efficient resource allocation, and help craft the future of transportation and delivery for a thirty-billion dollar company. As the CFA Supply's scope expands, this role will grow with it. This role will have a significant impact on the efficiency and profitability of the company. It will require the staff member to utilize a diverse range of skills and experiences in the overall support of company operations and requires a high degree of independence in the execution of these responsibilities. Successful candidates will be able to lead, analyze, and communicate strategic planning efforts. Although the ideal candidate will have experience with transportation management systems and network optimization, there is no expectation they will be an expert. The systems we own are responsible for delivering the food and packaging needed by restaurant Operators to serve millions of customers every day. You will generate and leverage tools to design our network and accompanying TMS in a way that best meets our business goals. Responsibilities * Use your voice and skills to design, develop, and optimize the rapidly growing North American restaurant delivery network while understanding the assumptions, constraints and regulations that affect the optimal transportation solution * Ability to challenge current constraints, lead complex problem-solving efforts and use your knowledge of our delivery network to develop and present strategic improvement options * Regularly collaborate with Transportation Operations at multiple distribution centers (DC's) to track KPI's, measure performance to expectations, and identify root cause when performance measures fall short and implement tactical solutions * Ability to quickly understand patterns within large quantity of data and to reference key characteristics using visualization techniques * Continually modernize, customize, and improve reports and analytical tools we use to design CFA Supply's delivery network as well as develop processes and/or procedures to follow at future DC's * Work with CFA Inc. and CFA Supply to continually update volume forecasts and identify corresponding impacts on operations * Go beyond established analytical thinking and problem-solving by applying creativity to unconventional concepts and out-of-the-box solutions * Jointly work with CFA Inc. Network Design team in conducting analysis and optimization of future distribution network * Demonstrate empathy and care for our Operator's experience Minimum Qualifications * A proven ability to creatively solve problems while committing to the highest standards of quality and the ability to quickly learn are of most importance * Strong communication skills and proven experience as an influencer at executive level * Creative quantitative problem solving skills * Experience analyzing large data sets using analytical techniques * Knowledge of operations research and forecasting techniques preferred * Experience in or knowledge of supply chain planning and design, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply complex technical skills * Experience with optimization and simulation tools such as transportation management systems or supply chain optimization preferred Minimum Years of Experience 3 Travel Requirements 10% Required Level of Education Bachelor's Degree
