Job Description

TITLE: Field Service Technician TYPE: Direct Hire LOCATION: Indianapolis, IN ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Onsite & 50% travel during the week START DATE: September/October 2024 We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our growing team. The role will require extended travel (Monday to Friday) completing equipment installations, services, and start-ups on capital equipment machinery. Provide excellent customer service and propel service success that boosts customer satisfaction, increases customer retention, and enhances profitability for the company. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver service and client support during field visits and calls by analyzing system requirements, diagnosing errors or technical problems, exploring complaints, figuring out suitable solutions, overseeing tests, and solving problems. Respond to client tech services emails and calls in a timely manner. Install new machinery and start-ups on site. Conserves customer confidence by keeping service details private. Create daily work schedules. Creating travel plans. Builds rapport with clients by recommending system improvements, identifying solutions, examining complaints, and suggesting improved techniques and methods. Records installation and service tasks by fulfilling reports, forms, records, and logs. Downtime includes working in the Assembly Department constructing new machines as necessary. Create positive relationships with clients. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma/GED is required. At least 2+ years of experience in service. Experience with electronics and machinery mechanics is required. Knowledge of PLCs. Must be able to problem-solve, repair and test. Must be able to work flexible shifts adapting to varying work schedules. Must be able to work with little to no supervision. EOE STATEMENT We are an equal opportunity employer.
