The Customer Service and Support Representativeposition is a critical role in our Supply Center. The role is primarily responsible for serving and supporting our customers through the effective use of superior customer service that meets each customer's unique set of delivery and product requirements. This support can be face to face when a customer comes into the supply center to place an order, over the phone, or via email. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Deliver Customer Service by responding to customer needs thoroughly in a timely manner with accuracy and detailDevelop and maintain a high level of product knowledgeField and resolve customer issues and questionsPerform inside sales duties as neededUtilize consultative selling skillsEstablish, develop, and service new customer accountsProvide quotes to customers and process customer ordersSchedule product deliveries, and communicate deliveries to the customerOrder inventory for replenishmentOperate in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environmentSupport Supply Center Team in attaining the overall goals and objectives of the business unitAccurate order entryFollow and execute any additional direction given by Branch Manager that will assist in obtaining overall goals and objectives of the organizationOther duties as necessaryREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:Ability to multi-task and make business decisions in a constantly changing, fast paced environmentComposed under pressureResults DrivenSelf-Motivated and Enthusiastic with a positive attitudeEffective Time ManagementOrganized and Detailed OrientedExcellent Communication Skills - Written, oral and listeningAbility to learn and embrace new technologyPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Frequent standing, walking, bending, talking, and listeningLocation specific lifting requirements based on what the supply center requiredWORK ENVIRONMENT:The atmosphere is that of a warehouse environment and office spaceThis position will primarily work in a facility where forklifts are presentEmployees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for the branch locationTemperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heatFrequent use of company communication devices is required such as a computer, cell phone, and printer PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:College degree preferredPreferably 2+ years' experience in a retail/wholesale environment with a demonstrated success working with customersMicrosoft Excel, Office, and Outlook experienceGeneral knowledge of the building industry preferred but not requiredBenefits: Employees (and their eligible family members) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Employees will receive a minimum of eight hours of vacation time every month and 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. The New Years Eve Holiday may be observed in current or subsequent year depending on the day it falls. Individual departments or functions that need to deviate from the above schedule due to operating requirements will do so on an as needed basis. Employees who are subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement will follow the holiday schedule provided in the CBA. Other Compensation may include, but is not limited to, bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range or wage scale. Position dependent. The stated benefits are for full-time positions working 30+ hours a week. Part-time positions may be eligible for limited benefits.
