ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES - This is a Salary Exempt Position Manages numerous accounts nationwide. Operates as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to clients. Manages a portfolio of national accounts and achieves set sales targets. Develops new and existing accounts including new products, new packaging requirements, pricing programs, new costing, cost analysis and project feasibility. Projects volume and profitability for each account as needed for budget and capacity planning processes. Services and formulates business growth with existing customers. Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting relationships with internal and external customers. Acts as the liaison between Simmons Foods and customers and understands the relationship dynamics between the two. Effectively leverages company Demand, Supply, Quality Assurance, Operations and Executive teams to ensure customer satisfaction and best results. Ensures teams function efficiently and effectively while staying grounded to company Sales & Operations Planning Process. Attends critical meetings and provides business reviews and sales solutions. Is well prepared at any given time, planned and unplanned, to present business reviews and sales solutions to all levels of the organization. Manages up when necessary to get answers and shares information so that all solutions are well rounded, thought out and presented. Maintains files and reports as needed on customer-specific data, as well as any other pertinent sales information. Problem and solution management. Intently listens to the customer and places immediate action to the situation providing solutions the first time. Knows where to look for the right answers by drawing on internal Simmons Foods experts as required. Ensures the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives. Brings solutions rather than merely opinions to every issue. Develops and demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of company production and R&D capabilities, as well as all applicable quality processes. Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization. Simmons Operating systems Principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas. Technical Experience: 1-2 years' experience in various sales support categories including but not limited to, store brand sales, mass Pet Food specialty, food service or feed ingredients. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, strong planning and analysis skills to perform quantitative data analysis. Excellent organizational, communication and presentations skills.
