Overview TeleWorld Solutions is seeking a Wireline Field Technician for our team! The Wireline Field Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting wireline telecommunications systems. This role involves working in various field environments, often under challenging conditions, to ensure the reliability and performance of wireline infrastructure. Responsibilities * Install, test, and maintain wireline telecommunications systems, including copper and fiber optic cables. * Diagnose and repair issues in the wireline network to minimize downtime and service interruptions. * Operate and maintain various field equipment, including splicing machines, OTDRs, and other diagnostic tools. * Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. Complete required documentation and reports in a timely manner. * Interact with customers to address service issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. * Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team. * Work closely with other field technicians, engineers, and support staff to coordinate activities and ensure seamless service delivery. * Participate in ongoing training to stay updated with the latest technologies and industry best practices. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field is preferred. * At least 3 years of experience in wireline telecommunications installation and maintenance. * Ciena Certification or experience is highly preferred. * Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment related to wireline services. Knowledge of copper and fiber optic technologies is essential. * Relevant industry certifications such as BICSI, FOA, or similar are a plus. * Ability to work in various field conditions, including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
