Sr. Inventory System Control Clerk needed for a contract to hire opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite in Clifton, NJ. Shift: M-F 11am - 7:30pm * Must have ability to obtain Secret clearance to be considered for this role. Summary Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Receives incoming materials, unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications. Maintains records of received goods, packing sheets, and other documents. Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, tow motors, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification. Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements. Essential Functions: * Perform picking and kitting per parts list. Verify all related documentation for accuracy and set-up kit for delivery to manufacturing. * Perform receiving by verifying parts against receiving manifest for accuracy and quantity. * Perform Put-away of material received ensuring all transactions are complete. * Execute requisitions for items in stockroom, secure correct materials, and issues to requesting department. * Perform cycle counts and reconcile counts utilizing various applications and systems. * Perform weekly purge of expendables in accordance with provided shelf life procedure and tracking sheets. Qualifications: * Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 to 3 years of prior related experience. * Must be able to lift 40 pounds. * Must be able to accommodate overtime nights/weekends and the potential to work second shift as needed. * Ability to obtain and maintain a US government Secret security clearance. Employment Prerequisites The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation and drug urinalysis.
