Job Title: Shipping Receiving and Inventory Control Clerk Department: Production Reports to: Shipping Supervisor Location: Job Summary Duties include the receiving and unloading of incoming materials and comparison of Information on the packing slips while monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels Essential Job Duties: * Sorts and counts packages, labels, totes, etc. * Operates pallet jack or forklift for unloading product * Receives product and places in proper location * Performs a physical count of inventory * Restocks items as necessary * Informs purchasing agent of low level inventories * Practice all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) * Follows all Safe Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP's) * Adhere to all safety regulations and practices * Maintains a safe work environment inside/outside for all associates by picking up all debris, trash and etc. * Wears required uniform as needed * Knowledge of and adheres to all state and local health requirements * Provides good personal hygiene * Performs additional duties as assigned to meet demands of daily production scheduling * Responsible for production quality * Ensure all tools and supplies needed to get the job done are available * Notify Lead when issues arise * Assures compliance with all company safety rules * Follow and monitor proper safety equipment usage and safety practices * Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements QUALIFICATIONS: * Must attend work consistently * Good attention to detail * Strong communication skills * Display strong work ethic and positive attitude * Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work in cooperation with others EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: * Production process experience preferred Physical Requirements: * Standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping, crouching, kneeling intermittently Empire is an equal opportunity Employer EOE/VET/DISABILITY
