Job Responsibilities 1. Responsible for managing farms in the absence of the farm manager under outlines of the Farm Managers Production Guide 2. Help with movement of turkey flocks to confinement growing 3. Work every other weekend replacing farm manager unless otherwise instructed 4. Assist farm managers in all areas of production as needed 5. Supply reliable transportation to work sites 6. Perform repairs, maintenance on equipment, and construction on projects as assigned by supervisor 7. Assist wash, manure crews and shavings delivery or other areas as required 8. Follow sanitation and isolation procedures using tracking patterns 9. Follow safety policies and procedures as recommended 10. Communicate with supervisor on a regular basis to receive work orders as needed 11. Other duties as assigned by supervisor Minimum Qualifications * Basic math skills * Able to read and write at 4th grade level * Able to work scheduled weekends and holidays * Supply reliable transportation for travel to work sites * Able to meet all sanitation requirements * Cannot own or raise any type of fowl (i.e. turkeys, chickens, geese, pheasants, parakeets, etc.) * Able to work in a smoke free environment * Must be 21 years old and able to obtain a Medical Card * Must be possess a valid driver's license and able to meet JOTS driving qualifications * PHYSICAL: Work in a dusty environment with ammonia present in all weather conditions while using approved respiratory protection * Facial hair must not compromise respirator face to mask seal - no beards * Twisting, stooping, bend, squat, lift carry and reach while handling turkeys, feed, litter, equipment 10 to 50 pounds from occasionally to a frequent basis * Able to work on uneven surfaces/ Able to drive a manual transmission Preferred Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * Previous animal husbandry experience and/or a farm background (two years) * Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record * Bobcat tractor experience * Able to use and operate high pressure washer What you will receive: * Competitive pay * Extraordinary benefits - Including paid vacation and holidays; weekly paychecks, medical, prescription, dental and vision coverage (very affordable compared to area companies AND you become eligible for health care plans after 30 days of employment); life insurance; Employee Stock Purchase Plan; 401k with match; and tuition reimbursement program * FREE two-year community/technical college tuition for children of employees () * Relocation Assistance Program for eligible applicants * Training - You will be trained on all equipment and procedures to prepare you for the role * Advancement opportunities- You are on a direct track to move into higher roles including operator and lead positions, even supervision and management * Employment with a solid employer - People stay here for the great employee experience and the long-term opportunities available Questions on our on-line application process?
