Job DescriptionPosition Overview: A prominent player in the plastics manufacturing sector is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team. Location: Iowa Key Responsibilities: Execute preventative and corrective maintenance throughout the facility to ensure machinery and equipment operate efficiently and downtime is minimized. Diagnose, dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery, including hoists, lifts, and conveyors, to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations. Collaborate with team members and work independently to troubleshoot and address maintenance challenges effectively. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and service schedules. Partner with other departments to support production goals and ensure operational excellence. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is advantageous. Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the plastics manufacturing industry or a similar production environment. Relevant certifications or additional training related to machinery maintenance or industrial systems.
