This position requires precision and reliability of financial data and builds strong collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners. It also requires strong leadership in the development of our team members.In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:Oversee and ensure the integrity of the general ledger, including the accuracy of postings and reconciliations and lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Drive the continuous improvement of general ledger processes and systems.Champion the maintenance and strengthening of internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.Proactively identify areas for control enhancements and lead projects to implement improvements.Manage the coordination of audit activities and ensure timely remediation of any issues identified.Provide support and guidance to the team in optimizing the accounts payable process, including the improvement of documentation/workpapers and improve overall quality, as well as the identification of tools, functionalities, and automation opportunities to streamline the process.Assist in the development and management of treasury policies and procedures.Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, high performance, and collaboration.To succeed in this role, you'll need: Minimum of a Bachelors' degree in an accredited accounting program with at least 15 years' related accounting and 5 years' management experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).Demonstrated expertise in GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, and compliance.Experience with treasury management in a corporate setting.Knowledge of software required: ERP systems.Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.CPA license and "big four" public accounting experience preferred.Public company and SOX-compliant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience with previous exposure to multinational companies preferred .In return, we offer you: Full and comprehensive benefit program, including an Employee Stock Purchase Program and 401(k) matching.Opportunities to grow in a culture that prioritizes learning, development and progression through in-house programs and tuition reimbursement.A collaborative, innovative team that works as one to amplify your impact-on your career, the work you do and patients' lives.Halozyme, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual's exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme.
