Available Title(s):151F-YN_CS_NPS - Fiscal Specialist 2Business Title:WSU Douglas Extension Office ManagerEmployee Type:ClassifiedTime Type:Full timePosition Term:12 MonthPosition Details:Summary of Duties:Manages daily operations and provides higher level administrative, fiscal, and technical support to WSU Douglas County Extension Director and office management and support to 8 employees and supervises hourly office staff. Regularly exercise independent judgement and discretion in work related to management and business policies. Performs a variety of fiscal administrative support functions including budget preparation and reconciliation, compiling fiscal reports and develop budget estimates, monitor budget status and expenditures for the county budget and other state grants, contracts, and conferences, purchasing and expenditure control. Other office duties include preparing and editing educational documents and reports, maintaining websites, and participating in special projects and assignments. Required Qualifications:Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Fiscal Specialist 1 AND 15 quarter hours OR 10 semester hours of college level accounting; OR equivalent education/experience.Experience with fiscal record keeping, office administration, secretarial, and/or general administrative work.Skills using the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word).Valid driver's license and ability to travel within targeted counties.While using a private or WSU-owned vehicle for official business, must have current automobile liability insurance (meeting the requirements described in RCW 46.30.020and RCW 46.29.090).Ability to work a flexible, yet structured schedule with occasional night or weekend work and travel outside the area.Employment is contingent upon passing a background screening.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in budgeting, fiscal, grant and contract management.Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively, with persons of varying levels of responsibility and experience, both orally and in writing.Customer service experience.Additional Information:Area/College:WSU ExtensionDepartment Name:Youth & FamiliesCity, State, Zip:Waterville, WA 98858Department Link:Chelan & Douglas CountriesMonthly Salary: $3,728 to $4,987 | Range 43 | Steps A-MSuccessful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 .
