Location: Whitsett 1st Shift : Mon-Fri 6:30am-4pm Pay Rate: $25.00-30.00hr DOE Supervisor runs all of the day-to-day activities and report back to his/her manager any issues that result in customer satisfactory or serviceability miscues. The position reports directly to the designated Operations Manager. Responsibilities: To assist Operations Managers by taking charge of an operating shift and performing supportive functions complimentary to the overall business unit objectives. The position reports directly to the designated Operations Manager.Reviews daily production schedule for the department to plan work and personnel assignments for the shift.• Supervises and directs personnel on shift in performing operations according to sound operating principles and company policies and procedures. • Reports promptly to department managers and production planning department when delays occur, estimates time of delay and when operations will be resumed. • Directs personnel in the receipt of materials and supplies against quantities ordered and quality of specifications and advises purchasing department of deviations. • Reviews defect bin at end of each shift and authorizes rework or scrapping of materials. Maintains good housekeeping in the department. • When on second shift, conducts month-end physical inventory of raw materials, supplies and finished goods. • Interfaces with other divisions and operations to ensure timely and accurate receipt of products and to resolve work order discrepancies. • Manages the inventory positions of all products and coordinates with all areas necessary to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained. • May sub for Operations Manager on customer meetings or site initiatives.Analytical skills to evaluate, report, select and implement cost-effective, distribution operations.Exceptional customer service ability and organizational skills.
