The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.Status: Part Time 7.5 hrShift: DAY SHIFTDepartment: OP InfusionPosition SummarySummary:The file clerk is responsible for performing a variety of duties depending on whether it is a small clinic, large medical practice, multi-clinic, or a specialty office. They may be involved in administrative areas including assisting physicians with patient care and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks and providing information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinical services.QualificationsResponsibilities:Education Required • Must complete in-house orientation program • Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Professional Nursing (Baccalaureate Degree in nursing preferred ) • Must complete annual mandatory in-service education (Hospital/Nursing) Experience And Skills • Speaks, reads and writes English • Clinical experience/skills relevant to the assigned area of practice • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills • Computer proficiency License/Certifications • Current and valid New York State registration authorizing practice as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) • Certifications required for assigned area of practice: BLS • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) within 3 years of hire or transfer, ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Guidelines Certificate within 3 months of hire or transferWorking ConditionsOther information:Working Conditions• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn• Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary file transfers and archiving• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies
