Job Description

The Administrative Clerk (part-time) services Mount Carmel Behavioral Health through daily actions of customer service including limited to greeting patients, vendors and visitors into the facility, while supplementing/assisting the Admissions department in various functions. Mount Carmel Behavioral Health, a joint partnership between Acadia Healthcare and Mount Carmel Health Systems, is an 80-bed acute treatment center specializing in treating adult men and women who have been experiencing a wide range of mental or behavioral health challenges. Functions include but not limited to:Perform general clerical duties assigned in accordance with the office procedures of the facility.Answer and transfer telephone calls or take messages.Sort and deliver incoming mail and send outgoing mail.Schedule appointments and receive visitors.Provide general information to staff, clients or the public.Type, format or edit routine memos or other reports. Copy, file and update paper and electronic documents.Prepare and process bills and other office documents. Collect information and perform data entry.Educational/Licensure/Skills Requirements:High school diploma or GED required.Two (2) years' clerical experience required, preferably in healthcare setting.
