Description:JOB DESCRIPTION JOB POSITION TITLE:DIRECTOR, ACCOUNTING AND HUMAN RESOURCES FLSA STATUS:EXEMPT JOB POSITION SUMMARY Under administrative direction, performs work of considerable difficulty in the administration of accounting/payroll, financial, budgetary, human resources, and information technology functions; performs related work as required. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF JOB POSITION An employee in this class is an executive team member responsible for overseeing company-wide accounting/payroll, financial, budgetary, human resources, and information technology in implementing a system of controls to protect all company assets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPlans & executes cash management, financial records management, accounts payable and receivable, budget oversight, fixed asset management, income reporting, tax reporting, audits, and policy administration. Conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff. Applies organizational policies and assures adherence to departmental procedures. Manages the HR functions of benefits administration, compensation, recruitment, orientation, payroll, employee relations, performance management oversight, employee training and policy administration. Plans & executes the IT functions of voice & data operations, hardware & software maintenance. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Oversees key company projects as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY/MENTORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES Exercises supervision of personnel in relation to areas of responsibility.This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed in this job position. EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE Completion of a BS degree in accounting; or related field and 10+ years' manufacturing accounting experience (including 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity); or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
