Open year round, the Inn is a five-minute stroll from Chatham's charming Main Street and within a short drive of all Cape Cod has to offer.The responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to performing general maintenance and repairs to all guest rooms/suites, meeting space, restaurant and common areas.• Responds to engineering and maintenance concerns as requested by Engineering Manager and Engineering Coordinator• Performs all preventative maintenance in Guest Rooms including the company's Knowcross PM system with follow through when the project is completed• Maintains departmental compliance with hotel maintenance procedures at all timeRequirements:• Basic knowledge of minor Electrical, Plumbing, and carpentry preferred but not required• Hotel or Resort experience preferred• Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekend, holiday and evening shifts• Excellent Communication skills required with staff & guests• Must be able to work both independently and in teams• Valid Driver's license required• Well organized with the ability to work in a fast pace environment• Fluency in English (verbal/written) is necessary, ability to speak additional languages is desired but not required• Additional Requirements include grouting showers, able to caulk tubs, touchup woodwork, and minor carpentry• Lift requirements of 50lbs or heavier• Flexible with schedule; can work weekends and holidays
