Responsibilities include but are not limited to implementing, testing, supporting, documenting and troubleshooting 3rd party as well as in-house developed applications for all internal business units, such as Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, Payroll, Racing, etc.This role encompasses system administration, troubleshooting, training and implementing enhancements to optimize our ERP System SAP S/4HANA Cloud. The Senior Application Support Analyst will also act as a liaison between internal end users and our SAP partners to facilitate resolution of support issues, implementation of new features and processes, and perform business analysis for IT projects.Essential Functions:Establish the root causes of application errors, conducting research and troubleshooting to resolve issues independently.Provide first and second-level support for SAP users, addressing and resolving issues in a timely manner.Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of various systems including SAP.Perform system monitoring and administration, verifying the integrity and availability of all SAP systems and integrations.Develop and maintain detailed documentation for application configuration, user training, and support procedures.Perform end user training for SAP and other applications.Work to optimize application performance and functionality by helping business users identify areas for improvement, whether a process improvement or a system enhancement.Collaborate with technology and business teams to understand requirement and deliver solutions that meet business needs.Write test plans according to technical requirements, develop testing strategies and test automation scripts.Keep record of configuration changes and schedule application updates.Change Management: including system testing, scrutinizing release documentation, ensuring release controls have been adhered to, and execution of releases to the production environment.Vendor management during application development, implementation, integration or support.Responsible for tasks required to stay compliant with technology policies and procedures.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.Five years of experience in a technical support role.Prior experience providing application support to broad business and technical groups.At least two years of supporting and administrating SAP S/4HANA.Ability to prepare and drive training programs for end users.Proven experience managing and monitoring applications for successful integration.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create organized and informative reports, as well as comprehensive, accurate documentation.High attention to detail while performing application duties and troubleshooting.Team player and the ability to collaborate with other technology teammates.Self-motivation, leadership skills and ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.Multitasker with ability to participate in multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight schedules.Ability to provide time estimates for project tasks and meet schedules.Ability to review applications and windows logs for troubleshooting.In-depth knowledge of all phases of SDLC.Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.Basic understanding of SQL, and the ability to use SSMS and run SSIS packages.Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python is a plus.Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:There are no special physical requirements for this role.Pay Range / Salary: $85,000 - $95,000Winning the Race at NYRA:Value Each Other: You are united with your teammates in delivering the best experience to all of NYRA's employees, vendors, guests and horsemen.Achieve Excellence: You possess a lively and keen interest in what you do; and display excitement and eagerness in doing your job well.
