Location: Centerfire Feedyard in Ulysses, KS About the Company: Cactus Feeders is an Amarillo, Texas based cattle company. Originally founded by the Engler Family in 1975, Cactus is now 100% Employee Owned, producing a million head of fed cattle annually. The Company has locations throughout the Texas Panhandle, Southwest Kansas, and Eastern Colorado. Job Description: Our team is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our crew in the Yard R&M Department. A good candidate for the role would be goal-oriented, motivated, and skilled in the maintenance and repairs of vehicles and machinery. Job Responsibilities: * Adhere by all OSHA safety rules and regulations regarding shop operations and safety * Perform daily housekeeping duties of the shop and upkeep feedyard facilities * Inspect diesel vehicles, identifying problems and repair them * Work in a timely and efficient manner * Work in a fast-paced environment * Work directly with the shop manager * Other duties as assigned Physical Requirements: * Stand for 8-10 hours a day * Must be able to lift 50 lbs Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED (preferred) * Minimum of 2 years of diesel mechanic experience (preferred) * Quick learner with the ability to adapt * Team player with the ability to communicate effectively with others Pay and Benefits: * Full time position * Hourly pay based on experience and skills * Bi-weekly paycheck with direct deposit * Competitive and affordable insurance packages - Health + Dental + Vision * 401K Cactus Feeders provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
