MH Pete Dye Resort Course is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Assistant Mechanic. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service for our guests. Compensation for the position will range between $18.50-$20 hourly. Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Mechanic: * Overhauls and repairs maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment and other power equipment. * Lubricates and services all equipment. * Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies and makes routine adjustments where necessary * Maintains up-to-date understanding of hydraulic systems, repairs and their components. * Inspects, changes and repairs tires. * Assists in controlling tool access and use by maintenance staff. * Cleans working areas after repair work is completed. * Assists in fabricating, body repair and painting. * Adjusts cutting units on mowing equipment. * When servicing of equipment is complete, will assist on maintenance crew and may operate mowing equipment. * Assists in training the maintenance staff in the proper care and upkeep of the golf course equipment. * May be called upon to operate or train to operate various types of maintenance equipment. * Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. * Performs other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications for the Assistant Mechanic: * Certificate from college or technical school * Must have 2 plus years' experience with small engine repairs and maintenance. * Must have valid driver's license. Other qualifications: * Must be a quick learner and able to work in a fast pace environment. * Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required * Regular and reliable attendance. * Available morning on weekends
