Job Description

Marsh Furniture Company is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Front Frame Processing Department. This department delivers components to the Finishing and Assembly departments as needed to meet customer demand for cabinet products. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a manufacturing environment, manages the workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules, and works well with others, coaching them to their fullest potential. This role is an important leadership position and reports directly to the Plant Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Lead the department in machining and assembly of component parts (wooden frames) supplying our cabinet assembly process.• Manage and lead the day-to-day processes of the 18-person work cell while implementing process improvements that would enhance the safety, quality, output, and delivery of product.Skills & Abilities: • Possess excellent team building skillsets as a highly functional organizer.• Proven leader who has (or is willing to gain) technical knowledge in wood and associated machine and assembly operations.• The ability to negotiate, influence, and operate autonomously.• Must have strong analytical / problem-solving skills.• Proficient in MS-Office Suite, (Word and Excel).• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Solid organizational and time management skills.• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.• Results-driven, able to focus on organizational performance.• Experience leading and engaging employees.• High integrity and moral character.RequirementsEducation and Experience: • An Associate's degree in a technical discipline with strong manufacturing work experience will be considered. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology or Business preferred.
