This is a hybrid position located in the Chicago area (Elmhurst). Procurement Sustainability Category Leader - Reporting to the VP of Global Procurement, this position will be responsible for managing the global direct materials spend and developing and managing sustainable sourcing strategies. This is a critical position that will drive the company's sustainability agenda. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for sustainable procurement practices. Manage key raw material sourcing categories. Develop and implement sustainable sourcing practices. Identify and qualify suppliers with sustainable products. Report on sustainable performance metrics including greenhouse gas emissions, waste reduction, and social responsibility. The Ideal Candidate: Bachelor's Degree. Strong analytical skills. Proven success in developing and implementing sustainable sourcing strategies. 5+ years in a procurement role in a manufacturing company - ideally chemical. Experience managing a sustainable sourcing program - experience with Ecovadis. MUST HAVE: Experience sourcing raw materials (ideally chemicals). Experience developing and leading a sustainable sourcing program. Global sourcing experience. My client is offering growth potential and a generous compensation package.
