Musical DirectorInterested in learning more about this job Scroll down and find out what skills, experience and educational qualifications are needed.Mokena Junior High SchoolThe musical director is responsible for the following:Selection of an appropriate musical for junior high aged students - must also be approved by administration.Securing dates and conducting auditions, call backs, selecting participants, securing crew, planning and conducting rehearsals, and producing all aspects of the musical.Adequately preparing the students for at least two to three performances of the musical.Managing all aspects of the musical from the construction of sets and props to securing costumes and electronic devices (microphones, lighting, etc.).Working with the venue to ensure all production aspects are managed.Working with administration on budgeting.Managing parent volunteers.Auditions normally take place in late September to early October, and the dates for the musical are normally in March.#J-18808-Ljbffr
