Position Summary & Responsibilities: Position Summary: The KANSASWORKS State Workforce Development Board (KWSB) and Reporting Manager plays a crucial leadership role by organizing board and committee meetings, researching workforce needs, and communicating issues with board members. This position involves preparing quarterly information for board meetings and interpreting policies, guidelines, and statutes. Additionally, it serves as a liaison between Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDBs) and the KANSASWORKS State Workforce Development Board, ensuring strong outcomes at the state level. The role includes managing and executing the KANSASWORKS State Board Strategic Plan and assisting with the resolution of errors in quarterly and annual performance reports, while collaborating with Workforce Services personnel to achieve agency goals. Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Provides leadership and management for the KANSASWORKS State Workforce Development Board by organizing board and committee meetings, researching and communicating workforce needs and issues with board members and preparing quarterly information for board meetings. Interprets and directs the application of polices guidelines and statues as applicable to the State Board, the Local Workforce Development Boards, education institutions, and other agencies. Establishes goads and finalizes plans based on the objectives set forth by the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA). Ensures goals and plans are in compliance with agency policies as well as state and federal law. Provides liaison role between Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDBs) and KANSASWORKS state Workforce Development Board to ensure strong outcomes at the state level. Assists with processing errors found on the quarterly and annual performance reports for all Title I and III programs to include, but not limited to, WIOA (Adult, Dislocated Worker, & Youth), Job Service, Trade Adjustment Act, Registered Apprenticeship, Jobs for Veterans Grants and Reemployment Programs. Research, verify, and collect information and data, analyzes and recommends revisions to systems to facilitate information storage, retrieval and usage to analyze and compile statistical reports. Assist and manage federal grant reporting requirements and submit reports in a timely manner. Works closely with other personnel in the Workforce Services division to identify and accomplish agency goals. Confers with agency staff to explain, interpret and discuss programs, laws, rules, regulations, policies and directives for compliance with WIOA.
