Title: Cleanroom Assembly Specialist I Location: Thousand Oaks, CA Schedule: 6:00am - 2: 30pm M- F Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 DOE Job Summary: Under close supervision and guidance, the Cleanroom Assembly Specialist I learns and assembles products to company standards per work orders, QC specifications, and technical documents as required. This role adheres to Medical directives and procedures consistent with Quality System requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform assembly operations in the cleanroom area by following oral and written instructions. Ensure the quality of assembled products through training and guidance from appropriate cleanroom personnel. Gain knowledge of product assembly procedures and documentation for the majority of product types in the cleanroom area and apply this knowledge to assigned assemblies. Achieve a good working knowledge of fixtures and equipment necessary for product assembly. Assemble products from work orders, QC specifications, and assembly drawings with appropriate guidance. Learn and apply necessary safety procedures and rules to the work area and assembly process, including information from Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Report safety issues to immediate supervision. Become familiar with generic cleanroom procedures and maintain the cleanroom work area appropriately. Maintain accurate records of work performed and products produced. Package final assemblies into required designs per written procedures. Use protective clothing and gear such as lab coats, shoe covers, hair covers, safety glasses, goggles, and gloves as required by work instructions and technical documents. Perform other non-routine duties as assigned by the supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: 0-2 years of experience in assembly work in a cleanroom environment (medical device preferred). High School diploma or equivalent. Good comprehension of the English language. Understanding of current 13485 GMP requirements (preferred). Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, including some technical information and all safety information. Excellent hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to see close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Working knowledge of simple arithmetic. Basic computer skills to navigate Office 365. Excellent attention to detail. Experience with the assembly of products comprised of small components (preferred). Excellent work ethic and strong sense of urgency. Good interpersonal skills, reliability, tactfulness, maturity, and flexibility. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand, walk, sit, grip, grasp, twist, pinch, press, and pull objects, tools, or controls. The employee must be able to work with solvents, adhesives, and lubricants and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Work Environment: Work is performed in a cleanroom environment with strict adherence to gowning and hygiene procedures. The employee may be required to perform repetitive tasks or computer work for long periods and may be exposed to production machinery, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
