Job Title

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Engineer supporting the Polyurethanes Division located in Ringwood, Illinois. This position will report to the Reliability Manager. As the Maintenance Engineer you will: Understand safety and equipment procedures. Provide root cause analysis for maintenance related issues and failures providing recommendations for rectification. Maintain and improve preventative and predictive maintenance program. Schedule maintenance work for craftsmen and contractors. Manage part selection and quoting to support scheduled maintenance work. Communicates directly with procurement assistance regarding parts required and inventory levels needed to complete all scheduled Work Orders and PM Orders. Perform maintenance related projects to support continuous improvement efforts. Maintain computerized maintenance management system. Assist in maintaining storeroom to ensure inventory is correct and what is in inventory meets the service goals of the department. Liaison between internal customers, vendors and contractors to achieve job tasks. Identify and prioritize multiple projects and work streams. Preparation of reports, metrics, and other tracking tools. Ensure department documentation and record keeping is in good order. Share job knowledge and experience with site personnel to develop, train, and enhance the skill set of all team members. Proactively perform Systems lifecycle assessments to identify obsolete equipment and recommend suitable replacements.
