Job Description

The Utah Hockey Club and Delta Center are seeking a Manager of Production who can produce and direct broadcast-quality events for the Utah Hockey Club. This person will assist in the oversight and maintenance of control room equipment for the Utah Hockey Club in addition to select events at Delta Center. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sponsorship, and Arena teams to identify how best to implement a creative vision, using available technical and logistical elements for a seamless execution of all LED, video, and graphic-related requests. They will also be responsible for hiring, training, managing, and scheduling part-time crews for all events that require support. As needed, this person will also create content for Utah Hockey Club games or other Delta Center events. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead cross-functional communication efforts with Sponsorship, Marketing, Broadcast, and Arena teams to manage production schedules, provide status updates, and deliver final assets as requested. Oversee control room equipment implementation, ideation, and service agreements for all Utah Hockey Club events. Collaborate with Gameday Director and Producers to execute the run of show content and the fulfillment of all sponsorship assets. Strong working knowledge of control room equipment, including Ross Video Systems, Dreamcatcher Replay, and Kiva Playback. Assist in the maintenance of the control room equipment and software. Coordinate with the Marketing and Video to maintain Utah Hockey Club brand standards for all in-arena assets. Hire, train, and manage part-time crews for the Utah Hockey Club and select arena events. Provide creative vision and critiques of various elements for production enhancements to improve the fan experience and quality of events. Create, monitor, and maintain tracking grids and systems for all projects. Accept other duties, as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years experience in producing and directing live events. 5+ years experience using and operating a production-style camera. 5+ years experience using Adobe After Effects. 5+ years experience using Adobe Premiere. 5+ years experience using Adobe Photoshop. Strong working knowledge of sports and NHL rules/regulations preferred. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Due to the nature of this role's event and gameday work, the employee must live within the greater Salt Lake City area upon the date of hire and throughout the duration of employment. Evening and weekend work will be required, including all Utah Hockey Club home games + events. This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally. This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time. This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
