Overview : Responsible for the Trane Ensemble Control System and the repair and preventative maintenance of all HVAC and building equipment. Responsibilities : ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Ensures that the building and its HVAC equipment is operating at peak performance. • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the Trane Ensemble control system • Responds to customer concerns with environmental conditions. Performs root cause analysis and takes corrective action to eliminate the issue to restore environmental conditions. • Performs routine PM maintenance and repairs to HVAC systems, boilers, chillers. Continuously monitors that all equipment is operating normally. • Supports production equipment repairs • Performs general building repairs and maintenance • Coordinates and interacts with vendors in obtaining the correct parts and coordinates with the Sr. Facilities Manager on getting repairs done in a timely manner. • Work closely with Sr. Facilities Manager and Security Supervisor in coordinating work orders and making sure preventative maintenance tasks and repairs are done on time • Works and communicates effectively under pressure situations • Performs other tasks as directed by management Qualifications : KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background with emphasis on HVAC systems and building system equipment repair • This individual must have a strong mechanical background working in a fast-paced environment. • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills are required and essential for performing this job. • Capacity to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings. • Knowledge of OSHA, ASHRE, NFPA Code regulations • Complete understanding using a multimeter is required • Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment in facility. • Experienced in use of powered industrial equipment. • Ability to always work safely and be aware of potential hazards or unsafe conditions. • Individuals must be self-motivated. • Excellent follow-through with verbal or written communication. • Able to work overtime as required in support of the business. • Multi-task and prioritize work to meet the needs of the business. • Detail-orientated and customer satisfaction focused • Work independently and with minimal or with no direct supervision. • Ability to train other mechanics within the department • Must be able to lift 50lbs. • Must be able to go to heights of 60' either walking above on catwalks or up on lifts without the fear of heights • This position requires the passing of a drug test and background check EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma or equivalent required • 7+ years of maintenance experience in a Distribution Center or similar environment. • Vocational or technical training preferred.
