This includes boilers, water lines, sanitary and grease lines, and building storm systems. Performs tests and analysis of data to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and provide recommendations to customers as appropriate. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Installs and maintains commercial plumbing systems. Perform routine repairs ton boilers, water lines, sanitary and grease lines, and building storm systems. Inspect and test systems to determine condition and needed repairs. Address customer concerns with their current plumbing systems. Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area. Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders. Test systems for leaks. Trains under the guidance of Plumbing foreman. Recommend, develop, or perform preventive or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, lubricate parts, or replacement of parts. Assist with other work in coordination with repair and maintenance teams. Participates in monthly safety program duties. Required Education/Experience: • High School diploma or equivalent and must be enrolled in a plumbing apprenticeship program. Competencies: Knowledge of Plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques, and local plumbing codes and standards. Communicate effectively with internal team and customers. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Diagnose and resolve problems, follow written and verbal instructions, read written reference material, and perform math. Ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow blueprints is a plus. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and clean criminal background. Physical Demands Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment, and various other Plumbing tools. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. This position requires:? stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work. Work Environment This job operates primarily alone with other plumbers and equipment in all environments, which includes extreme cold or heat depending on the time of year. Vehicles are used as the base of operations.
