As we continue growing, we will continue offering the best and most-affordable vacation options out there!Job DescriptionGeneral Summary Of Duties:Massage Therapist position delivers professional, therapeutic massage and body treatments to guests while ensuring a comfortable and relaxing spa experience. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures, and Nevada law. Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)Provide spa guests with a comfortable and relaxing spa experience while ensuring the utmost safety for our guests.Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy) before beginning service.Maintain the highest level of guest service by providing guests with a broad understanding of current massage techniques and procedures.Must be qualified and able to perform all treatments offered.Ensure uncompromising level of cleanliness of work area and/or treatment room at all times.Promote and sell spa/salon services including retail offerings related to the Spa. (Sales goals may be required.}Informs facility management of any member, guest, or facility issues.Is knowledgeable about the facility, the property and its amenities in order to effectively communicate with guests.Reports any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsPerformance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)Social skills as demonstrated by the ability to effectively deal with internal/external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse, collect accurate information and resolve problems and concerns.Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.Ability to effectively deal with internal/external customers, some of whom will require patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger. Collect accurate information and solve management concerns.Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language clearly to ascertain and document important information , to follow written and/or verbal instructions and to provide clear direction and guidance. Ability to relate to all levels of management and employees in verbal/written form.Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information regarding outlet hours, other hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for other employees. Resolve complications and complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and the most effective solutions. Make decisions and take action based on previous experience & judgment, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations. •Sufficient manual dexterity of hand, wrist and arm in order to perform massage.Understands that as a representative of the Spa they will maintain a healthy, fit appearance and a positive attitude.Ability to walk/stand and work 100 percent of shift walking a maximum of two miles.Check work area before, during and after shift for proper set-up, safety and cleanliness.Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time..Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and reach to perform services. Lifting a maximum of 50 pounds to a height of 4 feet on an intermittent basis.Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards. Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Experience Requirements:Minimum 2 years' experience, preferably in a resort spa environment.Education Requirements:High School diploma or pletion of a minimum 500 hours of Massage training.Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Additional InformationVideos To Watch
