Title: Tire Service Advisor Reports To: Regional Tire Store Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Last Revised: 08/01/2020 As a Tire Service Advisor, your essential job functions will include the following: Sell/assist with sale of tires to customers on the service drive with the goal of exceeding assigned sales and productivity goals. Inspecting customers' cars on the service lane. Diagnosing problems tire related problems, recommending service and quoting prices. Assuring necessary repairs are completed as ordered and priced as quoted. Maintaining effective customer relationships including customers and dealer personnel. Overseeing customer satisfaction and complaints and solving problems that arise. Completing market analysis monthly. Assist in store operations: maintaining inventory, opening/closing the store and reporting responsibilities. Assisting dealership technicians to ensure service levels are maintained. Cleaning and maintaining Tire Service Advisor's work area. Additional duties assigned based upon dealership location - please refer to attached addendum if there are additional duties required. Other Duties as Assigned Position Requirements Two or three years of tire service experience, preferably in or from a retail tire and service environment. Excellent verbal communication skills with strong customer service orientation. May be required to operate a motor vehicle. Meet the requirements of Dealer Tire's Motor Vehicle Record Policy and Company Vehicle Fleet Policy. Proficient computer skills to include experience with MS Office and online order management applications. Frequent bending, crouching, and twisting. Lifting at least 75 pounds. Comply with the Dealer Tire Store dress code policy. You will be required to work a fluctuating work week schedule, and must have flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary. Drug Policy Dealer Tire is a drug-free environment. All applicants being considered for employment must pass a pre-employment drug screening before beginning work. There will be random drug testing for all Dealer Tire Store associates. Addendum to Tire Service Advisor Position Description Additional duties (assigned based upon dealership location): Adequately perform the job duties of a tire technician as needed. Provide team leadership to tire store technicians: Communicate daily work assignments, priorities, and goals. Coach and assist in the development of team members. Coordinate work assignments with internal and external customers as necessary. Familiarize the team with special customer needs. Assure the team follows standards/guidelines. Help keep the team focused and on track to the tasks at hand. Request and coordinate workspace assignments, equipment needs and tools to maximize team performance. Provide input to the National, Regional or Area Tire Store Manager on individual performance of team members and staffing change needs. Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team to the Regional or Area Tire Store Manager. Provide direction/guidance to the team based on management direction. The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The total compensation package may also include commission, bonus or profit sharing. Base Pay Range: $27.10 - $29.50 To be eligible for a sign-on bonus you must have not previously worked for the organization.
