For more information about Draper, visit Job Description Summary: The Technician A (ELEC/MECH area) performs skilled laboratory work under the limited supervision of senior technical personnel. With limited supervision, performs cleaning, maintenance, and/or calibration of laboratory and equipment requiring highly skilled knowledge. With adequate training and limited supervision, performs work of an essentially repetitive nature for production of deliverable hardware. Such work shall involve complex manual skills and the operation of complex automated or semi automated equipment. With limited supervision, carefully documents their own work consistent with work unit policy in hand written form or using common computer-based software. At the discretion of the supervisor performs focused training to enable progression into higher skilled positions. Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities •Performs cleaning, maintenance, and or calibration of laboratory and equipment with limited supervision. •Operates complex equipment in the production of hardware using complex manual skills with training and limited supervision.. •Documents their work consistent with work unit policy with limited supervision. •Performs focused training to enable progression into higher skilled positions at the discretion of the supervisor. •Other temporary assignments at the discretion of the supervisor. Skills/Abilities •Able to communicate written and verbally. •Able to use Microsoft office applications. •Able to perform manual labor and operate automated and semi-automated equipment. Education Graduate from a 2 year technical school or applicable years of experience. Experience Either two years of applicable technical education and two years of applicable experience or four years of applicable experience meets the minimum requirement.
