Charter Dura-Bar & Charter Aarrowcast is seeking a Supply Planning Manager! The Supply Planning Manager will facilitate and own the creation of the monthly constrained supply plan over relevant time horizons. This role will facilitate consensus building and ongoing alignment between all functions to create a supply plan with the right volume plans, inventory levels, inventory risk, and capacities to support Commercial plans. This position will support our Charter Dura-Bar location in Woodstock, IL and Charter Aarrowcast in Shawano, WI with travel to both sites. What you'll need: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related degree. Seven plus years' experience in Demand Planning or other related Supply Chain positions Serves as the business's Supply Planning subject matter expert and can identify needs, leverage continuing education, create, deploy, maintain, and teach in all areas of people, process, and tools to continuously build capability. Broad knowledge of Supply Chain Management and working in a consensus, Sales and Operations Planning and Execution (S&OP and S&OE) environment. Working knowledge and ability to deploy change via formal, change management, continuous improvement, BI&A, and optimization methodologies. Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills in working with employees at varying levels throughout the organization; including participation with and leading cross-functional teams. Demonstrated knowledge and capability with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or material requirements planning (MRP) systems. Experience in leading and managing others. Strong Continuous Improvement mindset. Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, PowerPoint) and report writing. What we'd prefer: Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Advanced Analytical Degree. Five plus years' related experience in planning, production and inventory control, or sales-related functions. A broad range of experiences via formal positions or project work within Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance and Senior Leadership. APICS Certification or desire to obtain (CPIM, CSCP). Statistical analysis and techniques. What you'll do: Consensus supply policy creation and maintenance and alignment to business objectives. Manage a large group of various skillsets. Mentor team and create robust succession plan for team. Partner with Planning System Manager in RFP and implementation for scheduling tool. Mediate Operations/Logistics/Warehousing and Supply Chain. Lead master planning team to successfully manage business stocking strategies from WIP to FG, including inventory segmentation, target setting, and any phase-in phase-out. Alignment of supply planning parameters to consensus plan including maintenance and change communication to validate deployment of consensus planning strategy. Use knowledge to support inventory team in creating horizon appropriate rough-cut capacity views for every network supply node, i.e., across sequential operations spanning multiple sites. Develop reconciliation scenarios and options for decision making to executive leadership wherever cost and service issues arise because of supply and demand gaps to plan. Identify Supply risks within the organization and coordinate consensus mitigation plans up to formal proactive business continuity planning. Coordinate prioritized supply response against consensus unconstrained demand plan for S&OP. Inventory health performance including excess, obsolete reconciliation and disposition and feedback into stocking strategies for continuous improvement. Govern (S&OE) process to confirm and deploy monthly S&OP. Manage by exception and escalate as defined for presenting reconciliation options for decision making. Metric development and performance management spanning annual planning, health via hierarchy of metrics connected to daily management systems. Supply Planning maturity model and capability roadmap maintenance and execution. Continuous improvement of people, process and tools within Planning and Scheduling in support of the business's continuous improvement methodologies including Planning Business Operating System and self-directed work teams.
