SUMMARY: As Manager of Total Rewards, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing compensation and benefits strategies to attract, motivate, and retain top talent across the organization. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including HR colleagues, Finance, business leaders and the senior leadership team, to design and administer competitive compensation and rewards programs that align with business goals and support our commitment to employee engagement and performance. The position is responsible for ensuring all Total Rewards functions are aligned with company policy and procedures, follows ethical business practices and governmental regulations and policies. This role also serves as the strategic and administrative lead for CSM's Health and Wellbeing initiatives and partners with the Chief People Officer on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy and execution. This is a full time FLSA exempt position. It requires at least 40 work hours per week with the ability to work more if necessary. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position serves as a servant leader, coach and mentor for other positions in the department and company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Departmental Leadership Leads People Operations department projects and initiatives in partnership with business leaders, CPO and other People Operations' SMEs Proactively analyzes People Ops' processes to identify, recommend and implement opportunities for improvement in collaboration with other department SMEs and CPO Supports CPO with development and implementation of annual department goals, projects and measurements Represents the organization at networking conferences and professional events as needed Managing Total Rewards Function Develop and execute comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies, policies, and programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. Conduct market research and analysis to benchmark compensation levels, benefits, and incentive structures against industry standards and competitors. Supports the annual year-end performance review process as needed, including leading the annual salary review process, job evaluations, salary benchmarking and merit increase recommendations, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal equity. Provide guidance and support to People Operations Business Partner and Chief People Officer on compensation-related matters, including job leveling, salary bands and incentive plans. Monitor market trends and legislative changes related to compensation and benefits, providing recommendations and ensuring compliance with local and global regulations. Manage the administration of variable pay programs, such as annual bonuses, sales incentives, etc., ensuring accurate calculations, timely payouts, and clear communication to eligible employees. Manage and administer the HRIS system to maintain and update compensation, benefits, promotional, hire and termination data and systems, ensuring accuracy and data integrity. Assists with the processing of people related records and analytical reports. Drive the communication and education of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring employees have a clear understanding of the total rewards offerings available to them. Foster strong relationships with and manage external vendors and consultants to leverage their expertise and ensure effective administration of compensation and rewards programs. Support the annual budgeting process by providing data and insights related to compensation costs and trends. Supports the ACA and EEO-1 reporting processes. Facilitation and ownership of the Open Enrollment process, related communications and Total Rewards Statements. Supports new hire onboarding, with explanation of benefits and instructions on enrollment process. Employee electronic file maintenance. Manages audit processes where necessary, including 5500 filing, 401k audit, Workman's Compensation audit, Greenleaf approvals, HCE, etc. Manages unemployment claims. In conjunction with other People Operations leaders, manages resolution of compensation, benefits, compliance, and People Operations questions, concerns and issues. Owns People Operations' dashboard, creates and monitors metrics to track effectiveness of employee retention, engagement and turnover initiatives. Supports departmental requests and needs as they arise. Health & Wellbeing Oversees and supports the wellness program Manage vendor(s), negotiating favorable rates and offerings Lead strategist for wellness program planning, drives ROI Front desk coverage assistance when needed Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) In partnership with the Chief People Officer, develop and implement comprehensive DEI strategies, initiatives, and action plans that align with CSM's values and business goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate DEI principles into recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training and career development processes. Establish and maintain metrics to measure the effectiveness of DE&I programs and initiatives, regularly assessing progress and making data-driven recommendations for improvement. Performs other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field. Five or more years of progressive Human Resources experience that includes a minimum of two years in the Total Rewards function SHRM-CP or PHR certification highly desirable Broad knowledge of People Operations functions and disciplines Strong knowledge of compensation principles, market trends, regulatory/compliance requirements, and Total Rewards best practices. Proven experience designing and implementing comprehensive compensation and rewards programs, including salary structures and bonus plans. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, conduct market research, and provide data-driven recommendations. Solid understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations in various jurisdictions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines. Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement orientation, constantly seeking opportunities to enhance compensation and rewards programs. High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
