POSITION SUMMARY: It is the primary responsibility of the Kitchen Worker to maintain the sanitation and cleanliness of the kitchen areas and equipment by washing dishes, pots, mopping floors, disposing of garbage and grease, and performing general cleaning duties. Assists workers engaged in preparing food for hotels and restaurants by performing the following duties. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures. Top 5 Specific Job Functions: Receive soiled utensils & containers and wash in the three-sink compartments. Remove washed utensils & containers from the sinks and stack them according to size and likeness for future use. Return items not satisfactorily and clean for a second wash. Sweep and mop kitchen floors. Scrub walls and trashcans. Pick up trash in kitchen and loading dock area. Clean floor mats Dismantle stoves, ovens, and grills daily. Scrape each item with a wire brush and apply cleaning solution. Clean ventilation units inside and out. Re-light each unit as required. Cleaning the vegetables. Keeping the line stocked when needed. Other Specific Job Duties: Maintain written record of all equipment cleaned and/ or those needing special attention. Keep store room cleaned and items in order on proper shelf. Put away supplies to proper storage when daily supplies arrive Maintains cleanliness of dining room including tables, chairs, counters, beverage dispensers and fills ice bins with ice. Disassemble and reassemble machinery for cleaning purposes Attend training and retain knowledge covered in sessions Notify supervisor and/ or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, and/ or alleged thefts Notify manager on duty of any guest concerns or disputes that cannot be readily resolved Adhere to strict services standards and follow established service sequences Maintain an organized, clean and presentable environment. Maintain constant awareness of sanitation, safety and accident prevention Perform all other job related duties as requested This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee in this position.
