The Accounting Assistant is responsible for many of the daily tasks to support the Finance and Disbursements teams. This position will have regular daily and weekly tasks as well as many ad hoc projects and requests to assist other team members with other accounting functions. Responsibilities Update / Cancel customer billing contracts for special projects and as needed for reconciliation Assist with contract activation query to identify device details for billing Process customer refunds and return credits Respond to customer inquiries and concerns regarding their account including providing invoice copies and account updates Maintain accounting files including shared folder organization, scanning documents, attaching documents in ERP Month end duties including query updates for address validations, missing customer account details, etc. Voice mail retrieval and filtering through daily emails for team members Pulling daily bank files and separating activity by process Credit card disbursement email processing and dispute processing Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of daily work and extra projects Conduct research on discrepancies and make appropriate corrections or adjustments Provide assistance to all teammates and Controller as needed Position responsibilities may increase over time; advancement opportunities to Account Specialist possible Requirements Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) - emphasis on Excel skills Works effectively and maintains good working relationships with peers Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines while working independently or with a team, including remote work without daily supervision Good verbal and written communication skills for dealing with teammates as well as customers Willingness to work on new projects, often several at a time Is attentive to detail, focused, thorough, organized, and accurate Hybrid scheduling of 3 days a week in office
