What You'll Do: As a Field Engineer, you'll work closely with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Superintendent to manage all construction processes effectively to reach the goals set for the project. Duties will typically include, but are not limited to, layout, field purchasing, document control, preplanning, safety, quality, production management, and project closeout as well as: Implementing Bowen's SQP process Performs layout duties as required by the Superintendent Maintain field document control systems Interprets designs and drawings; Researches and recommends resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errors Prepares RFIs. Maintains RFI logs and timely response to job questions Prepares drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates, etc. Ensures approved shop drawings, plans and specifications, and accurate field measurements are utilized in Operations Plans execution and addresses discrepancies with Project Team Ensures craft payroll is completed accurately, reflecting hours worked and tasks worked on; assigns cost codes to all purchases, time cards, equipment time and any other item involving cost Assists Superintendent with daily job reports and schedule monitoring Assist in daily production management activities including evaluation of daily crew cost against activity budget Must-haves in a Candidate: Bachelor's degree in construction/engineering or equivalent technical training Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in computer applications Basic understanding of cost analysis principles Nice to Haves in a Candidate: Experience working with self-perform construction operations Experience with layout/surveying Familiarity with construction safety standards and procedures Benefits: Competitive Base Salary Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance PTO from Day 1 7 Paid Holidays (plus 6 additional half-days), 1 Community Day, 1 Floating Holiday Paid Parental Leave Annual Discretionary Bonuses Car Allowance Employer-paid Life Insurance with supplemental options 401k with Company Match HSA and FSA options Employee Referral Program Wellness Program Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Short and Long-Term Disability Family Planning and Adoption Assistance Education Reimbursement To Apply: Sign in to your profile to access the Job Application wizard.
