Description Smithbucklin, a 100 percent employee-owned association management company, is looking for a Videographer & Motion Graphic Designer to join the Creative Servicesteam in our Chicago headquarters. As part of the Marketing & Communications Services (MCS) unit, the Creative Services team supports the visual communication strategy of our nonprofit client organizations by creating high impact, brand-consistent designs intended to engage, attract and sell for print, digital and video media. The Videographer & Motion Graphic Designer will take ownership over a variety of video media projects. What You Will Do Work collaboratively with creative and marketing staff to support the video media needs of both our client base and our corporate functions. Work with stakeholders from different teams across the business to develop and hone their ideas and briefs, to identify the best format to communicate their message, and to carry the project through from concept to final deliverable. Create 2D motion graphic animations and infographics - incorporating still images, titles, b-roll, stock footage, music, etc., to promote client events. Edit custom (or provided) video, which may include color grading, titles, graphics, music, etc., in line with our client's brand guidelines. Utilize our in-house studio and company-owned equipment to produce engaging video media to be utilized on various platforms, such as websites, social media and at on-site events. Travel on location to client events to capture both b-roll and/or client testimonials (1-2 times per year). Manage the upkeep of all Smithbucklin owned video equipment to ensure maximum performance. Support the overall Creative Services team with additional graphic design and editing projects, as needed. This Role Might Be for You If... You demonstrate a strong working proficiency in video production and post-production editing You have a great eye for visual design aesthetics. You are an effective team player that thrives in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. You exhibit excellent communication skills and can work successfully with many different personalities. You are adept at making sound branding and creative decisions on your own and enjoy exploring and sharing knowledge about trends, tools and techniques in the digital marketing realm. You have a proven record of exceptional multitasking, time management and project management skills. You have the ability to travel up to 5% of the year for any on-site video shoots. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution with a concentration in Graphic Design, Video Production or related visual arts majors or equivalent experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in video production and editing. Preferred Qualifications Graphic design experience is highly preferred Working proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and the Adobe Creative Cloud Working proficiency in Apple Final Cut Pro is a plus Proficiency with basic computer programs, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Where Do You Fit? Our hybrid environment offers you the option to work from home two days per week. Employees will work a standard 40-hour week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project deadlines. The salary for this role will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and relevant experience. Additionally, successful candidates may qualify for a discretionary bonus up to and including 5% of base pay. The expected pay for this role is: $60,000-$65,000.
