Our client is seeking an Data Center Technician for a 4-5 month contract on W2. This role is onsite to Elk Grove Village, IL 60007.Hours: M-F, 3 PM - 12 AMMust have Skills:Years of Experience needed: Two years' working in a data center(If they have been leading a team for several years they would not be a fit as they need someone with boots on the ground)Level of Education: H.S DiplomaSystemsSoftware proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite (especially excel and teams)Teachability and positive attitude is a HIGHLY valued skillAble to work as a teamAdaptAttention to DetailOutside accreditationsCustomer service experienceExperience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferredLooking for some tenure with experienceResource's typical working day: They will be preforming rack and stack on servers and network assets in a data centerThe Tech will need to install and test fiber and copper cablingThey will also need to know how to terminate copperThey will need to reboot a device and have general familiarity with how severs workExperience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferredWork on ladders 7-8 feet off the floorInstall servers that can weight up to 40-50 lbs. (will use a server lift and always working in teams)They are occasionally asked to be on trouble shooting calls or speak to the clientVery fast pace and busy data center environment
