Data Center Tech Area Lead (Boydton)OnsiteDay shiftBoydton VA6 months contract goes longer About the RoleThe Area Lead reports to and works closely with the Regional Services Manager ensuring the highest quality of day-to-day operational execution at assigned DC campus(es). This role is accountable for directing technicians and deliverables for the services team, including coordinating parts and labor dispatches, identifying opportunities, planning and problem management.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring all personnel at the site are trained and in compliance with customer requirements, product support, and Company policies. Will provide feedback on personnel performance and behavior observed to the Regional Manager.Leads a team of high-performing, cross-functional personnel in delivery of contracted services support on a day to day basis.Fosters a culture of positivity, leads by example in establishing the cultural tenets of People First, Ownership Mentality, Quality, and Partnership.Accountable for the overall performance required to achieve the agreed customer support SLAs, and effectively communicates the details of status, issues, problems, successes, and needs for the site.Owns and manages the day-to-day relationship with the customer at the site level. Assists the Regional Manager with overall account management as needed.Oversees the planning and execution of site assessments, builds, transport, inventory, and deployments across the site. Will request from the Region manager the ordering of any supplies and equipment needed at the site.Supports the Region Manager on performance and behavior issues.RequirementsProven team leadership experienceGood cross functional communication skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - ability to manage multiple projectsassignments simultaneously.Excellent problem-solving skills.Minimum QualificationsA bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience, or five (5) years of server hardware deployment and IT Data Center Services.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Good cross functional communication skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - ability to manage multiple projectsassignments simultaneously.Experience building processes, project management, and release schedules.Excellent problem-solving skills.Multi-lingual fluency a plus.The ability to lift up to 35 pounds when necessary.The ability to safely climb ladders when necessary.The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly when necessary.The ability to stand and walk throughout the facility for extended periods without loss or reduction of productivity.The ability to (i) use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, (ii) make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls, (iii) bend or twist their body and (iv) repeat movements for extended periods without loss or reduction of productivity.
