Work Location: Chicago, ILHybrid work model (2x a week)Contract: 12 mos., possibility to extendThe primary purpose of the role is to provide independent contribution for UIfront-end design and development of modern cloud-based customer facing CAT Foresight web application by collaborating with architects, other front-end and backend teams, POPM, Scrum Master and Engineering Manager stakeholders. You will be part of a fast-moving global team to build a best-in-class product for Caterpillar dealers worldwide to improve operational efficiency and reduce TCO.Position's Contributions to Work Group:As a Sr. FED, you will be responsible for solution design following modernstandard UI best practices, contributing hands-on code development, maintenance of technical debt (PRs, performance, UX improvements, Storybookre-usable components, NFR...etc.), leading POCs or major Spikes and help with the refinement of the requirements into technical features & user stories. To effectively deliver, you would collaborate with other front-endbackend leadsteams, end to end architects, POPMs, Scrum Masters and Engineering managers.Typical task breakdown:Designing, developing, deploying and maintaining intuitive and performant tegration and development with Grafana visualizationWorking within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum) with multiple other teamsInteraction with team:3 developers and 1 scrum and 1 PO and 1 tester and 1 lead.Work environment:Hybrid work modelEducation & Experience Required: Position requires a four-year degree from an accredited college or university.· Bachelor's degree in Computer science and 10+ years exp Technical SkillsDesigning, developing, deploying and maintaining intuitive and performant tegration and development with Grafana visualizationWorking within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum) with multiple other teamsStrong understanding andor experience in some of the following,UI middleware and mocking technologies and tools like Redux-Saga and Mirage JSExperience working with API development tools like Swagger and PostmanAWS Cloud, automated CICD and BDD with Cucumber.5+ years or more of experience with TypeScript, React and Redux8 to 10 years of overall experience in web application and UI development with other skills such as Jest, Webpack, RESTful API, HTML 5 and CSS3.Experience building new web application, leading major technical POCs and developing higher order re-usable UI components such as dashboard, widget and custom table...etc.Ability to work under pressure and within time constraintsPassion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environmentSoft Skills(Required)· Excellent communication and presentation skills Interview Process:3 rounds: 1st round is a via Teams technical assessment, 2nd round is a coding interview and 3rd interview is a behavioral interview
