Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant General Manager for our 140-room, limited-select hotel in Revere, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have a background with Marriott and be proficient in operations, encompassing Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance, with at least two years of management experience. Our Assistant General Manager will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing team performance, and ensuring the highest level of service standards. Your leadership and organizational skills will be critical in fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment, enhancing the overall success of our hotel. Responsibilities Oversee daily hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance. Ensure exceptional guest service across all departments. Participate in recruiting, hiring, and evaluating team members. Assist in budget management and profitability for the hotel. Provide ongoing training to associates to maintain high service standards. Foster a professional and engaging work environment for all hotel staff. Drive employee engagement and recognition initiatives. Maintain collaborative relationships with all departments, including Sales and Marketing. Conduct daily tours and inspections of the hotel, ensuring cleanliness and service quality. Adhere to all Marriott Brand Standards. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; bachelors degree, a plus 2 years experience (2 years with a bachelors degree) in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area Experience in implementing payroll and inventory cost controls. Previous Marriott required.
