Job Description

This is a Hybrid Position primarily Working onsite at our LVIC facility in Las Vegas, the Database Engineer provides support of the continuous monitoring of all Multi-Site Progressives, (MSP) systems operations and Downloadable Gaming Services. System and Database reporting using Microsoft SQL server and integrated components. Constant monitoring and maintenance due to the critical nature of gaming activities that they support. This position is responsible for advanced support of all MSP core systems and components. Responds to and resolves or escalates issues. Provides support on operational and maintenance issues pertaining to the MSP systems operations and installations. Maintains agreements and logs according to established procedures. Coordinates resources for MSP installations in North America. Also maintains all documentation concerning MSP. What You'll Do Architect and Maintain MSSQL solutions for MSP environments. Manage and plan the database environment and configuration for optimal performance. Assist in configuring SSIS packages to populate SSRS reports. Troubleshoot network issues encountered at local and remote sites. Identify and resolve operational problems and make necessary recommendations and adjustments to minimize downtime and prevent future problems. Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Monitor system resource utilization and capacity planning. Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure. Resolve problems related to network equipment, server and client system failures and routing issues involving MSP networks. Provides 24-hour support to MSP Service Support Staff, field technicians, and customers. Responsible for maintaining MSP Operations and MSP Equipment operational 24/7 Works closely with customers during the installation of company products to address problems and provide excellent customer service. Provides ad-hoc technical training to MSP and Field Service team members on games and MSP applications either verbally or by written communication. Manages the technical process of new installations and upgrades of the MSP system at ATI Primary, ATI Secondary, and customer remote locations. Manage and plan the setup and configuration of all MSP sites. Plan, Implement and execute Disaster Recovery procedures. Independently configures, prepares, and tests MSP equipment and associated third-party applications/equipment. Maintains and verifies data integrity of MSP system. Identify and resolve operational problems and make necessary repairs and adjustments to minimize downtime and prevent future problems. Analyze data trends. Reproduces issues in test and lab environment. Works with gaming regulators when necessary to ensure the proper operation of all MSP products. Identifies and reports potential MSP software and EGM issues to D&D Document and update in-house knowledge database for MSP issues, configuration changes and infrastructure layout. Design and implement custom SQL Maintenance Plan using SQL Server Agent and Transact SQL Other Duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4-6 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Requires experience in a related technical service and support role working directly with MS SQL server, SSRS, SSIS, and Always On high availability. Casino operations experience a plus. Proven hands-on systems administration experience. Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL server (e.g., SSRS, SSIS, Always On) Proven hands-on network engineering experience. Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools Hands-on experience with Windows and SQL Server Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work independently and require little direction. Must be able to act as team leader and redirect workflow appropriately. Proven customer relation skills. Must be able to obtain gaming license in all jurisdictions that have MSP products. Must have strong analytical, problem identification and problem-solving abilities. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must have strong communication skills, be able to work independently and be team oriented. Travel Expectations Up to 25% Pay Range $91,259 - $169,481 per year Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
