LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks an experienced Litigation / Trial Paralegal to support our client's growing and expanding firm. This temporary W2 contractor role requires working 100% onsite in Oak Brook, IL . The Litigation / Trial Paralegal will support attorneys with all aspects of trial preparation. 4+ years of complex civil litigation defense experience, proficiency with all aspects of litigation, and recent trial experience are required. TEMP HOURLY PAY RATE: $35-$45 DOE Primary Responsibilities : Trial preparation, including witness binders, exhibits, electronic presentations, etc. Assist in creating and maintaining case chronologies, indices, and case files. Cite checking and proofreading pleadings and briefs. Medical record retrieval, review, summaries, and chronologies Coordinating document productions and creating processes for efficiency Assisting with trial logistics, including setting up the war room, securing necessary equipment, and setting up files and exhibits in the courtroom Scheduling and tracking depositions, witnesses, filing deadlines, and other case-related deadlines Required Qualifications: Minimum of 4+ years of recent trial experience supporting a US law firm in litigation defense Ability to start ASAP and work through January 2025 with the possibility of extension Proficiency with technology, especially with Microsoft Office Suite, E-filing, eDiscovery platforms, and legal case management systems Demonstrated experience tracking and billing for substantive Paralegal work outlined above Paralegal Certificate preferred Willingness to work 100% onsite in Oak Brook, IL Practice areas: ideal candidates must have experience working in workers' compensation defense, civil defense, insurance defense, and/or labor & employment defense Pay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour Search managed by: Holly Hilderhoff Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
