This is a permanent full time role! Must be worked ON SITE in Norwich, Connecticut-daily from 8:30-5:00pm Candidates Must have strong experience with management of VMWare-not just end user experience. This position's main responsibilities will include installation, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software on or related to virtual desktops, servers, networking, printers, various hardware systems, and Cisco networking. Must possess a strong background working in a virtual environment, have excellent interpersonal, decision making, problem solving and analytical skills. This person will be working all areas within the 3 person I.T department. This person will always be working on different tasks and should excel in fast-paced challenging environments. Summary The ideal candidate will have experience working in a small IT department and have a strong versatile I.T.skill set. Experience following processes, recommending improvements, translating technical terms to non-technical users, solving technical problems and working in a team environment. Hours of support may require occasional weekend, holiday and/or off-hours shift coverage. Candidate will be required to participate in the on-call rotation (which is one day per month). Preferred Qualifications Preferred Certificates in ANY of the following: Security Plus, Network Plus, Microsoft, Cisco or CompTIA. Knowledge working with Crystal reports. Experience building and maintaining databases (such as Progress, Access and SQL). Knowledge of network topologies, and supporting Cisco networks.
