The location for this role will be within an occasionally commutable distance for any one of our offices. Responsibilities Responsible for full BI lifecycle from requirements analysis, design & development, release and support. Translate business requirements and problems into innovative technical solutions. Work at the direction of the Analytics program manager while collaborating with IT and business side stakeholders daily in solving problems and delivering solutions. Should be hands-on to support development, Triage and Trouble-shoot issues encompassing integration and back-end systems Respond to production incident Teams and effectively work problem management activities Design and build reports and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting Develop and support data pipelines (extract, transform, load - ETL flows) required to enable access to important company data Continuous contribution to and knowledge of the core data architecture at SRI Learn and adopt best practices in reporting, data integration, design, analysis, validation, and documentation Work within our greater best-of-breed applications ecosystem, including MicroStrategy Analytics, Deltek Costpoint (Cognos), Oracle Human Capital Management, SAP Ariba (SaaS Procurement), Workday Adaptive Planning, Microsoft O365, and other market leading application providers Support training and outreach initiative to help SRI get the most value out of the portfolio of data and analytics solutions at SRI Qualifications BS/BA degree or higher 2+ years of experience in the data/business intelligence (BI) space Strong knowledge of SQL and database structures Hands-on experience with backend ETL for data extraction & building data model, including scripting and data source integration Understanding of Business Intelligence concepts, including visualizations development (scorecards, reports, dashboards/dossiers Understanding of Data Warehouse concept and architecture Core Skills / Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills - proactive about asking for assistance Ability and desire to learn technology quickly through a mix of different mediums Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Resourceful and adaptable Due to government contract requirements candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Desired Skills, NOT REQUIRED, but these skills/competencies further strengthen your qualification for the position. Experience with any of the following: MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI, Cognos, or any equivalent analytics tool Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP system Any data integration, data pipeline, or ETL tools Any programming language experience (python etc) Any database development experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles.
